دلال
in arabic, the word "Dalal" (دلال) carries several nuanced meanings, most commonly referencing a feminine charm or a sense of being cherished, tenderly cared for, or gently guided.
my Teta Dalal is an educator, psychologist, grandmother, mother, chef, artist, master gardener—what she touches becomes perfect, delicate, beautiful. Teta always brings everyone together around a table, and always has a story to tell.
Atelier Dalal is a space to exchange heritage, stories, and craft.
workshops at Atelier Dalal are educational and tactile, curated for you to play, explore, and learn new mediums/methods. through instruction we weave cultural and historical contexts into each class experience.
you can expect to always leave with something you made, plus new skills and knowledge to keep exploring at home. beginners are always welcome (encouraged!). if you’re a writer who wants to try painting or a ceramicist who wants to try poetry—or someone who just wants more art in your life—you’ll find a home at Dalal.
