humans carry an inherent desire to leave a mark. a stamp can serve a bureaucracy or seal a love letter; catalog a library or sign a work of art. you’ll create your very own ex-libris stamp in this workshop—part image, part gesture, part identity. we’ll also introduce you to the fascinating history of stamps, from ancient mesopotamian, egyptian, & phoenician seals to modern artistic stamp making, as enduring tools of identity and communication.

at Atelier Dalal we believe in the power of gathering—emphasizing the exchange of heritage, stories, and craft. workshops at Atelier Dalal are educational, tactile, and curated to inspire you to play, explore, and learn new mediums/methods. beginners are always welcome (encouraged!). if you’re a writer who wants to try painting or a ceramicist who wants to try poetry—or someone who just wants more art in your life—you’ll find a home at Dalal. you can expect to always leave with something you made, plus new skills and knowledge to keep exploring at home.

no prior experience is necessary! your instructor is there to provide hands-on instruction and knowledge as you create your piece.
