before humans learned to chip stone, they made clay cups. in this workshop you’ll learn the 3 tactile methods of hand-building: slab, pinch, and coil to build your own vessels — whether that be a espresso cup set, a bowl, mug, or other creation you’re inspired to sculpt. we’ll provide an introduction to the 30,000+ year-old evolution of ceramics from paleothic eras, ancient china, mesopotamia, and persia, all the way to modern interpretations of the art form. we will fire and glaze your piece (choose from 15 glaze options!) and you’ll get to take your masterpiece home a few weeks later.
